So basically to put on the 75mm MAF I would have to spend $1200 getting a tweecer and tuning it.
Damn. Well it was good theory spending $175 for the MAF but in the end its gonna cost a s**t more to get it to work correctly. Thanks guys for your input. |

hi
i fitted one of the ftg mafs to my eb2 xr8 mods are crane 2030 cam gt40p's explorer inlet exctractors and exhaust. used my 55m sensor inside 75mm body.my 1/4 times droped from 14.6 to 14.2 . afr is 13.0 to 1 on dyno 177.4 rwkw . car feels noticably stronger. i think the more mods done to your car the more differance it will make |

i agree but every modifiction is a compromise .my mods have been done on a shoe string budget .in an ideal world we would all have a 347 alloy headed stroker.

Close,
In an ideal world we would all have an alloy headed injected 427W, but hey thats me. Timmeh. A good afr for a street windsor is about 13.3 under load, and no leaner than 14.7 on cruise. The stock internals from your 55mm maf will work, but it will sque the readings and you may get alean mixture under full throttle with stock injectors. A cheap, but not very effective way to recify this is to increase you base fuel pressure, or go to 24lb injectors. Both options will help in the top end, but then the compomise comes in the mid range and down low with incorrect fueling. Dont be disappointed, it will work, but it wont be optimim Brett

and xr640lt in a perfect world i wouldn't run a 347, i would be running a 351 stroker of some sort |
