yeah now i have realised that 350 is far out of reach.
Im still looking for my project car. Keeping in mind the project car is going to be a v8. How many RWKW could i get out of a later x series to around a XE with a 351 and other mods. The point of the project car is to rebuild a motor (i have done before, its for dads benifit), have a nice sounding and good looking v8, to do a paint job, and to have experience in fixing the body.

geez gone from an EF/L i6 to an XE '51
where do you want to head stomper? what are you looking for in a car? something cheap reliable to get you round and still have fun with when the time is right? then an e series is probably the go. Unless you have a lot of money to buy a good XE you will be looking at a fair bit of work to get one in mint nic. then getting it reliable etc etc. You need to Stop. Sit down, and think "What do i want out of a car? What do i want to get into as far as a project goes? How much money do I want to spend? How much money can I Afford to spend? How long can I go before i lose interest because there is no / little progress? these and more questions need to be answered before you part with your hard earned i think.

assuming its the turbo model only a fool would think their standard or even slightly modified ef could have the goods to do the skyline.. yeah a manual xr could have a AUTO skyline or at least be line ball but , yah well .. you get the drift... learn the difference between dreams and abilities. good luck anyway

dude go sign up for a massive loan at a finance company and then drop a BA turbo 6 into your EF... then skylines won't be a problem.
might have to pick up a few extra paper rounds to pay for it. |

I had an idea for making quite the jackass sleeper once.
EF Mont, standard rims, tinted windows, slightly lowered. 2.5" catback Pod Filter Turbo of some description 5spd (not a T5, heard of some exotic model that can be used, but fkd if I can remember what it's called!) Mid range Cam Head Work (port polish, injectors etc. plus wotever needs to be done from the cam) I proclaim now that I don't know s**t and this is just an idea, but what y'all think?

That you just described almost every turbo E-Series thats on the road, apart from the gearbox lol
They aren't a new idea guys, I see more turbo 4L's then quick Windsors
Get your car reliable first, start with the usual s**t, rims, lowered on new shocks (do it.. do it..), exhaust, extractors blah blah. Run 15's in the auto, thatll keep you happy for awhile. Then go from there

However, there's next to none (yea, I mean it, ZERO) turbo E series machines about down here (correct me if I'm wrong). Actually, there's very few modded falcons about full stop, 90% of the cars you see crewzin about in this context are VN-VS commadores. I intend to lower it with new shocks, don't worry bout that lol. Also, I'm a firm believer in building an engine up properly, doing all the little things, not just bolting on a turbo or plumbing in some NOS for a quick fix for power.
