do i ahve to take off the front wheels to remove the front bumper? my cheapass gregorys manual said i have too, but that sounds like a pain in the a** for wot should be a simple job...
also, i bought some mesh to put in there (hence the reason for taking it off) anyone got any ideas on how to make it go in?

hmm i dont think u need to take the wheels offf might make it easier in the end, the splash guards in there are a real pain to get off.
as for mesh basically just cut it so that its the same as the existing mesh thing thats in there |

A little trick from the trade. Work from under the car, from memory, you have a 13/14mm nut at the top behind front indicators, a screw at each end, a few screw/bolts along the top may even be clips, and screw along the bottom for the slash tray, the splash trays are a pain but you can work around them.
BE CAREFUL OF THE AIRBAG SENSOR, DIRECTLY BEHIND THE BAR (if fitted) As for the mesh, cut it oversize and bend it to match the contour of the area you are meshing, put some weight onto the mesh to hold it firm onto area and then simply bend the overhanging bit around the whole area and use black sikaflex to hold it in position, leave to dry over night and it should be ready the following day. Hope this has helped you out. |

u dont need to take the wheels off..... just take the guards of connecting to front bumper so u can reach the screws and bolts on the sides that hold the bumper to the 1/4 panel

Agreed, i just put the steering to full lock to make a bit of room. And get a footlong extension for the nut behind the indicator.
