Checking out V8 Owners today (an email went out regarding the site changing from www.v8owners.com to www.v8owners.com.au) I found this article on the front page.
http://forums.v8owners.com.au/showthrea ... f77f&t=474

Just goes to prove how wrong some people were saying it was only the engines shipped to Australia.

Yeah the old rumour was that the aussie delivered crate engines were "factory seconds" wasnt it?

I'd be p****d after spending that kinda money. Real p****d. Mail bomb p****d.....

I think some Holden Gen 3 owners when they go to fill up for petrol they dont and they actually fill up on oil instead.

Being a ex owner of a 82 corvette. I used to buy corvette fever mags and some owners of the 1997 C5 Vette with the LS1 (gen111) mtrs were complaining of oil consumption then even before Australia released the mtr. I think there made in Canada.

All that said, the GenIII isn't a bad engine when there isn't anything wrong with it.

That is like saying a Camira is a good car when something isn't wrong with it!
