Hey, one of my lifters is stuck and has made my car sound like a lawn mower. I went out to American Autos today and the bloke told me that my engine does not have hydraulic lifters!? Can anyone tell me if he correct or not I don’t have much of a clue as I am new to these engines and all my mates are Holden fans lol.
How much am I looking to get it fixed?

Peace Mark

P.S. I am driving a 1994 EF XR6

They always claim that they are non servicable. Do they just pull apart?

yep

If it helps or not depends on why its noisy. If its just gunked up (usually the case) then cleaning out with carby cleaner and putting it back together with new clips makes them good as new. If they are broken or worn then there isnt much you can do.
