re-trim with new leather.
I used to have a saas wheel on my old mini and they re-trimmed it for me for only about $60. I would expect any decent auto trimmer could do it for a reasonable price esp as it uses up a few scraps of leather.

Call around some of the dealerships. Often they have them lying around where people have upgraded to a momo etc. I picked up a AU XR one for my EL for the cost of a slab.

If you get one, go for leather, or put a steering wheel cover on this wheel to protect it from the sun.

Lots of these wheels are beginning to warp due to the sun.

common problem with the ef-el wheels. mine was down to the metal on one part, i got one from the wreckers which is seriously brand new, no damage on it what so ever. the only bad thing about it is that it slips really easily, doesnt feel like i can get a good grip unless my hands are moist, maybe it will soften up with the sun... looks good though for a stocky.
