my lower ball joints in my EA are flogged out ive looked in the gregorys manuel for how to replace them but i cant find anything about them or how to change them out, a reliable source tells me they have to be pressed out and pressed in, there for its better if its done by a workshop, can anyone help me out with it please?

the ball joints need to be pressed out and in.

you can either get it all done by mech,

take out the upright and take em down to a workshop to have the oldies pressed out and newies pressed in,

or get yourself some change over uprights which come with new ball joints installed.
some companies that do them are, noltec, roadsafe, fulcrum/superpro.

You can get the ball joints out yourself - have to remove the spindle from the car, and then smack it out with a hammer. Just make sure you remove the circlip.

To get it back in, you will have to get it pressed in. Take it to a mech and get them to do it... shouldn't cost too much.

unless you have access to a press I would recommend take the whole lot out and go to a mechanic. Not worth the stuffin around for a few bucks.
