What about the original question of what you would choose from Toyo, Dunlup or Khumo not all these other brands they DON'T stock.

Depends what you want them for around town driving i'd go for the one with a compromise between grip and wear and look at the price if you wanted a good performing tyre i'd go for a directional probably dunlop, toyo not sure about and khumo i consider to make good 4x4 tyres.

I drive like a maniac, tracks and roads, pretty aggressive, I just replaced a set of Yokie C.Drives in 234/45/17's the yokies were $265, I went for a couple of tyres up in the Yokie range this time,
I am now running AVS ES100's the C.Drives were bloody good, But these ES100's.. man they are FANTASTIC.. B U T.. they are a premium tyre at a premium price.. RRP is $310 a corner!!! I picked em up for $270 fitted (mates rates) but I think even if these rates were not avalible I would still have got em..

The blocks are more solid than the C.Drives so it does not walk on em as much, being larger blocks reduces lipping as well, solid side wall construction almost stops all side wall flex.

If you got the $$ you gotta get em!!

otherwise the Toyo's are a good option for you, the tread pattern is not as aggressive as the Dunflops or the falkeens but they last..

just remember less $$ spent means less traction on your car. (as a general rule. not always the case.)

Another cheap option tyre is Sime Tyres.. check em out.

Yokohama are the s**t.

Has a set of the ES100's on a previous small car ... they were great in heavy rain ... no aquaplaning at all ... grip levels were very high .... they do wear quickish though ... but that's a trade off for awesome grip.

Have had A539's (I think they are obselete now) ... and they were a great tyres too. Have heard good things about the C-drives ... from when I have seen they have DEEP grooves and decent tread on them.

Not cheap ... but you get what you pay for though.

I thrashed my last set of yokies C.Drives.. absolutly molested them.. I was happy with the 15,000 kays I got out of em.. he he.

nankang are absolutely round black pieces of s**t. and go for the toyo's over the lemans. i used to work for dunlop. the toyos are the better choice. and i actually get 53% off the recommended toyo tyre price how good is that

nankang are the biggest black round pieces of crap ever made. go for the toyo's over the dunlop lemans. i run toyos and they handle better then the dunlop. but choose the proxes 4 type or the t1r

No point getting the tyres that will last the longest if they outlive the occupants of the car!

if you wanna good burnout tyre, buy a set of bridgestone re92 bag em up as soon as you put them on then take them off and let them sit for 6 months and put them back on. they will smoke like nothing you've seen before
