hey guys
just brought a ef motor with ecu and loom for 250 bucks
going to slot it into my ea pretty much found out every thing i need to do to make it work of this site .
couple of questions though motor is complete except every thing on front ie:alternater power steer waterpump etc will my ea parts be fine running on front talking whole fan belt setup .
allso what about uder dash connections on loom they will be different yes /no? cheers for any replies Im sure Ill have more questions on the journey thnks mike

Just try and bolt the ea manifolds either side of the engine and see how you go because i found on this site you should simply be able to drop it straight in keeping the existing manifolds and replacing the cam angle sensor with a distributor is yours cfi or mpfi. if mpfi or converting cfi to mpfi change engine loom and the ECU and the fuel pump. i look foward to you posting how you go

yeah my car is cfi plus motor has done 300thousand kays
ef motors only done 120.000 so really want to drop whole unit in.
just not sure if whole front of ef motorneeds to be set up as original or if my ea auxilarys will be fine plus wondering about dash loom of my ea fitting into ef loom.
still need to get around smartlock to but I know that can bedone any more info guys and girls

i think u will find that u need to replace the ea water pump with an ef one, not 100% sure but i have an ef pump and ea one here and they are a bit different in lookin at the length of the shaft

actually I have water pump .but looking at front view picture of ef looks completling diferent to ea.
looks as though theres a few more pulleys and things on right hand side of engine[standing in front of it] anyone now what that is as eas not as busy.Heard afew coments about serpentine set up is that needed or will my ea setup run engine fine?
