Howdy ho everyone

Just bought myself an XR6 Turbo a week ago, and have been havin to much fun in it to notice that the rear electric windows don't work, from the drivers controls and rear. It might be a stupid question, cause even that drivers side window lock doesn't seem to work.
Have I just missed something here, I owned an EF Gli before so I never had the luxury of electric windows

Cheers

Yeah I didn't have enough time to get a good look at it, bit busy at the moment, I'll get at it tomorrow.

But the manual says theres a control lock behind the drivers side window controls, what do they mean behind, theres nothing behind

There is a fuse for each front and rear. Check the rear fuse? Are the switches illuminated as the rear illumination turns on and off with the child lock, which gives you and indication.

I hope that helps.

I have played with electric windows a fair bit in the BA series so if you need anymore info let me know.

Just took a look this morning.

I was ready to test the little f**k until I opened up the fuse box and realized that theres not even a fuse in there for the rears, would explain why its not working

So I'm going to call up ford in a few minutes and ask them WHERE THE f**k MY FUSE!

haha, thats nice of ford.

madmax: I beleive all you would need is the following.

rear door trims
drivers side and rear switches.
Loom from futura/fairmont etc for drivers door and rear doors.
2 x rear regulators

I checked my car and all the wiring is there to the doors but nothing inside them.

Nick: haha TBH I have been too busy to even think about it. Hopefully next week.

So the loom is there up to the doors but not inside them? And the drivers door need a new higher spec loom? Is that right?

The looms runs up to the doors.
You need loom for rears and drivers.

I think your vehicle would have had the bonnet cable and fuse panel replaced under warranty and the gumby apprentice didn't swap the pink 30amp fuse over to the new fuse panel... i've seen it happen a few times.
