As stated. Just recetly swapped over my clutch in my Ef, bolted everything back up drives fine, but cruise doesnt work anymore. This happened last time we did the clutch but after about a week it just "worked" again. but this time it doesnt want to.
Is there any sensors or anything like that on a manual or anything i can try to look at or re-hook up to try and get it working again. Crusie is my friend because i do a lot of driving during the week. Any help would be good. Cheers Andrew

well according to the manual there is only a speed sensor where the box is... check the cruise control module...se if anything is loose on....if you mean the cruise doesn't work as in the buttons check if the buttons are connected well or not.
cheers phong =P~ EDIT: by the way...did you try and use the cruise control below 40km/h? cause supposedly they don't engage below 40km/h. If your buttons work and the light says CRUISE on your dash but it won't engage the motor in the cruise control module may be rooted....just a thought.

There is a switch on the clutch pedal to disconnect cruise, perhaps the pedal height has changed after the new clutch went in.

I know that all the buttons are fine, and the module is fine and nothing is disconnected. however didnt think about the clutch pedal height. Thanks for that guys. wil chec kit out.

Oh yeah. Have an auto pedal box with a mal wood pin for the conversion so there is no switch under there. thats why this whole things has got me stumped. Arm did the conversion for me with the malwwod pin using the auto pedal box.

Check your stop lamp fuse.
Check your stop light switch. I take it the speedo still works? Check that the throttle body cable is still attached? Both your brake lights work? |

Crusie is my friend because i do a lot of driving during the week. So what is happening currently, you get a cruise light but it doesn't engage, or you don't get a cruise light at all ?? I'll assume the first reason - in addition to what's been suggested, check the plug that the manual switch plugs into - the auto will have a shorting plug connected. Its a loom with green/red & green/white wires, should find it amongst the wires near the brake light switch. Check the pressure switch at the front of the brake master cylinder and it's plug - should be closed normally, open when brakes are applied. You can pretty much check all of the cruise electricals by conn checking from the engine bay unit electrical plug.

Yeah the cruise light works fine and have tested the connections with a multimeter and thats fine. This has happened before but after a week it just started working again. I checked the module connections and thats fine.
I will check those fuses and switches as suggested by ARM79. (thanks) will also trace those wires. Technically it should still engage because there is no manual switch on the clutch. Could it have anything to do with the brake switch under the break pedal??

Yeah but only if the brake lights are stuck on, which is a common problem. Refer to Arms post above, he pretty much summed up everything you have to check. He should know, seeing as he did the bodgy conversion lol. |

Same deal if the master cylinder switch plug is not connected properly also. So check these in addition to what's already been said.
