well coming home from my GF's house friday night and the headlights wernt as bright as usual. Got home and realiased the drivers side was f**k.
So i said ill get a new one after work on saturday...no biggie. Went to start the car saturday morning (3:30am) and bam....NO HEAD LIGHTS. the park lights and high beam were fine but the driving lights weren't. The local servo didnt have the right type head lights so drove to work with just high beams. Saturday after work went got the xeon blue lights as they were supposed to be high quality, but mum pulled out the driveway and the drivers side has blown. Im going to go check that the fuses are alright and change them to other one just incase they arent blowing for some reason. Is is also possible that water on the alternator is causing them to f**k up? Cause i think i have a small leak on the lower hose and it may be splashing on the alternator. I also think the alternator is f**k because (example. the light will be on at night, i will indicate and the odo light will dim/light faintly in time with the indicator.

when you put the globes in did you touch the glass AT ALL?
even the slightest contaminant on the glass of the globe can cause it to blow very quickly.

With both headlights out but highbeams ok the lowbeam relay might be crook, but I havnt heard of relay blowing headlights on one side or the other.

pulled the lights out and the drivers side is blown. Going hunting for some fuses or water or something.....
Ohh just found out this afternoon that the fuel pump is making a bad noise. Almost like the noise u get from the alternator in your speakers due to running a power cable with ur rca's.

No i havnt fixed the problem yet. I found that the drivers side blew but passenger side is fine. Ill replace the globe and see what happens.
Im also thinking my alternator is f**k because when the indicators are on the odometer dim's and brightens in time with the indicator.

the odometer dimming when the indicator is on.
does the same happen with your headlights when the indicators are on? at night park against a wall or something and flick ya indicators on and off a few times, do your headlights dim slightly?

Could be a bad earth near the wires that plug onto the globe.
I thought I had blown a globe but I just pulled it out and then put it back in making sure the wires were not touching anything they shouldn't be and it was fine after that. |
