I looked in the manual to see what the low coolant sensor wire is yellow and black. So i found the loom for the sensor.
Now i need to find out if the sensor wire is connect to the dash or not.If so its just a case of adding the globe and we are done. If not ill have to add the wire like we had to for the trip computer. Thanks to anyone for any input.

If the wiring shown in that thread is already in your car - then yes!

A word of caution: read my reply in this thread http://www.fordmods.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=33080

OK. Now that i know that im going to go and get a fairmont cluster and a oil pressure s**t. Im almost tempted to do a fairmont mockup but i cant see a point getting all the front end stuff cause it will cost too much. I may get a venom bar.

I have tested this and can confirm that NO other components are required in the EF GLi cluster to make the coolant sensor operational. Provided the wiring is correct, the sensor is OK and you have fitted the bulb, then it will work.
If you wish to test without draining the coolant, simply disconnect the sensor plug at the reservoir - the low coolant lamp will flash.

Yeah I should specify that some (not all) GLI clusters will need to have the extra components. It could be only applicable to EL GLI clusters, but as there have been a few circuit board revisions, later EF's may be the same - best way to check is as explained by adding the bulb and seeing if it flashes.
Myself and Itchone proved this about 18 months ago - IIRC the low washer light will be restored also on later revision boards.
