how much work n money would be involved in changing my xf carby to efi. my engine already has the spots for the injectors and am just wondering if its worth changing over. also the car is on straight gas.
cheers

umm - if its straight gas why do an efi conversion?

Do you just want to use the EFI manifolds?

A lot of guys use the EFI intake to setup straight LPG, i think it depends on what kind of system you're going to run.
I have to be honest though, the XF EFI setup is nothing but trouble, you're far better off stick to carby as far as the petrol side goes.

Is it running the Impco lpg setup?
If it is then i'd consider throwing on an EFI manifold and go for a GRA throttle body.
As for going EFI and running petrol... I wouldn't do it.

It's the air flow meter that goes on them when they backfire, lost count of how many i have replaced.
They idle rough as standard, they run off crank case pressure so an oil leak causes them to run rough... Out right they're s**t house, a first EFI model and one to stay away from.
