Hey just wondering which tyres will be better on 16 inch rims?

225/50 or 215/60

The 225s are Kumho's and the 215s are Kenda's

Thanks

i think that the 225 would be cause there wider and wider tire are meant to give more grip

get what is meant to go on them, too wide and it will handle really s**t. it depends on how wide the rim is as stock 15's from falcons take 205. so i think you'd be safe with the 215's cos 225's will be s**t, hell there not that much smaller than the ones on my 17's.....

The rim size is 16x7 so i'm guessing a 225 will fit on a 7 inch wide rim won't it?

I reckon either of those tyre widths will be OK
on a 7" wide rim. Although a 6.5" rim would only
take the 215 comfortably.
You do need to check the rolling radius from
the standard original tyres and see how they match up.

Plenty of good info about tyres at this link
