Hey guys,
I've been contemplating putting an ef/el dash into my eb. I have already searched heaps and looked through heaps of threads. I realise all the crap you'd need to modify in the floor plan etc for the handbrake. However I don't really need the ef/el style handbrake. I would be happy with the normal one from eb. I read somewhere that someone had undone the top mounting or something on the eb handbrake and it was able to hang down lower and sit below the ef dash. If anyone could verify this or something like it - I would appreciate it! Cheers

some people have put it below the dash yes, but it looks s**t!! if i where you i'd fit a foot brake set up from a 6 seater wagon or ex taxi. I think it involes getting a 6 seater pedel box, you need a EF pedel box when doing the conversion anyway

thanks for the reply
why does the pedal box need to be changed? Is it different in shape and wont fit onto the dash properly?

some of the holes are in different locations, brake switch set up is different, but you may be able to mod it, and there is also a bracket to hold up this MASSIVE junction box with about 200 wires going into it.
they are cheap, i only paid $40 for one. And if you want the foot brake you definatly need one

EF pedal box IS NOT needed. Pretty much everything will bolt up, whowever, things to keep in mind: If you are sticking with the original steering wheel or aftermarket one, you will need to retain the original ea-ed indicator stalk set up. Just change the plugs over (all colours match). When I did the conversion, I kept the original handbrake set up without any issues, just undoing the top mounts and have it sitting below the dash is fine. Brake switch, again just use the original one and change the plugs. As for the junction box, just cable tie it up under the dash, no problems there.
