yeah, I think OH&S is important but not to the extent they are pushing it too, alot of it is unnecessary. I think they have it mainly to filter at the dropkicks who don't know something like "should you ever touch a bare wire of unknown origin".

Haha, that's quote worthy. Very well put. But yeah - ive seen the case files (insurance, legal etc) where some dumb s**t hurts himself without thinking about what he's doing. Then proceeds to sue the company. OH&S is just the corporate world's way of protecting themselves from the stupidity of some of the people they hire.

have a go at brickys labouring. Plenty of it around, or just ring up a few brickys and ask em. I've done it, its not as hard as most make it out to be, its just very boring, although most labouring is. You can make good money if working for the right crew, when I was doing it i was making $750 per week cash in hand.
Concreting is also a good one if you dont mind hard work. Get in there as a labourer, watch and learn, try and make your way up to a finisher. I've known finish screeders that pull $1500 a week plus petrol allowences and a work phone, which is on wages btw so they still get their holidays, sick leave etc.

OHS has gone way too far, they whinge about the amount of money it costs to manufacture in australia - but FFS some of the stupid things we have to spend loads of money on at work, that do SFA is amazing.
Youll find that ringing up and doorknocking is a great way to pick up labouring jobs, they barely advertise for em
