Hey guys. I just got back from the wreckers looking for a set of door trims for my power window conversion when i stumbled accross a Fairlane Ghia with grey velour interior. The seats and trims are a bit grubby but dont have any rub marks or holes etc and should clean up nicely. From what I understand the door trims and front seats are a straight swap but the rear seat isnt. What is involved in making the rear seat fit or is it not worth the effort? Any body done this and can help out?
They only want $250 for the lot so I hope this can be done.

IIRC all you have to do is use your current bolters (re trim them with the material off the fairlane bolsters). The rest should fit

if they are anything like putting nf/nl ones in, then the backrest is not a straight swap.

you'll need to swap over the frames/hinges from your backrest to the fairlane one.

Fronts will go straight in.

The rear seats you will need to use your current frames then put the Fairlane velour over hte top of that.

Yeah, i drilled out the holes, put bigger washers on them, and went on sweet. Only needs to be raised by a few millimeters so it can latch on properly. pics of fairlane interior my gallery :D

Hot, humid wheather does not agree with leather IMO. Plus, you find a good ghia up here being wrecked your doing better than I.
