how many kms to fully bed in molly rings & do u get higher oil consumption
with molly rings compared to standard type? thanks |

Ive noticed no oil consumption on my engine. Just get the bores honed for moly and load it up while your running it in (keep the rpm down though) and it will be fine.

Careful using Moly on a re-ring, they're a much harder ring and if a bore is slightly ovaled they wont seal too well.
The honing finish for moly is much finer than that of cast, as stock said make sure it's honed for that. |

Load them up after warm up. short blast in second gear up close to the red line & then ease of by using engine braking. try 4 to 6 times, it'll embed the rings & a perfect seal for the rest of its life.
make sure you're using run-in oil & not synthetics. change over to synthetic after 60 to 100km. unconventional "run-in secrets" run it hard first time then take it easy. I have, with perfect results.
