Incorrect. Head units are interchangable between EF & EL and the timer function works either way - it is controlled by the H/U, NOT the BEM.

Yes quite agree as I used my factory ef h/u in a different car and it still works ( no key ) for 1 hour. :roll:

Who was the retard that wired up your head unit Pete? I thought you rewired it yourself or were you just complaining about the spaghetti in there.
It was just a make shift job before I sold the car - used to have an alpine in there and I wanted it for the ute.

ps I still have the original ford deck if you want it.

ps nice xr6 dude love the lightining strike colour....and the number plates look hot :P .. WA is allowed up to nine letters yeh...ACT boys here are stuck with limit of 7 :(

Don't reckon it was you because nothing works in the accessory position.
Has to be key on for it to work and all the dash lights come on as per normal.

Something else is the problem. If it was just the stereo it may have been you but its something else I reckon. I suck with electronics so I got no idea.
