Hello, i recently changed my cluster from the base EA one (temp, fuel, and speedo) to the EA Spack one (tach, temp, oil pressure, volts, speedo, fuel).
all the guages worked except for the tach that i had to wire (Thanks very much to the tech documents)
I've done 150kms of driving and the fuel guage has only moved 1/4. the old guage was terrible, used to lie all the time, one moment, it was 3/4 next it was 1/2, next it'd say 1/4 and i'd be towed to the petrol station, lol.
As my EA is a wagon and the Spack dash is more than likely out of a sedan, is there any difference in the guages? The car is a CFI and is terrible on fuel, i never used to push it further than 400kms on a tank.. is it more likely that this guage is better than my old one, and that the car is better on fuel than i think, or is is more likely that the new guage overreads?
Thanks
David

afaik the differences are in the senders not in the guages, ie the same resistance should reach the cluster regardless of the body type, at least for boxcars anyway. BA's are different
