Back on topic who in their right mind would buy a BF1/2 WITHOUT the 6 speed auto, it only takes some change now to get it optioned to, awesome!

f**k yeh man, If only we earned enough for the typhoon.. :o

After a spirited straight line performance against a BF 6spd auto tornado on a private road last night at stock boost, I no longer consider them that special. The dude looked shocked as i was at his rear quarter at 120 in an 8k car :p.

But yes, why in god's name would you buy the 4 speed auto?
Interesting about the 4 speeds possibly being discontinued... they still haven't got the 6 speed with the egas do they? Something about them not running right together?

Is that the same people who made the EF/EL autos?

EA to AU automatic gearboxes were made by a company called BTR (unsure of the abbreviation), do ION have anything to do with BTR?

BTR became ION when they were bought out a few years back.

no 6 spd in egas as they didn't want to spend the money for tuning in em, remember car companies thought fuel price would remian below $1 about 2-3 years back.
they said not enough demand in egas to justify the outlay required for R&D.

what surprises me is the fact it is still an option, at $250 you would think most dealers would chip in to get people through the door. contracts i suppose.
