From what I have read I think he is referring to have 1 sub in a sealed enclosure and the other sub in a ported enclosure, not a bandpass.....
But that is how I read it..... A bandpass box is where the sub is in the middle of 2 boxes, you can't see the sub unless there is a perspex panel or similar, the sound comes out of a port / ports entirely.....

Ok, dont want a bandpass box. I think Ill stick to sealed. Was originally going to put perspex on back of box to display, but ill have the box so that they are directly behind the rear seats, and panel it off from boot. Only have the amps on display. Brings me to another question, is it ok to have the amps mounted flat on a "false floor"? Or should they be elsewhere?

Brings me to another question, is it ok to have the amps mounted flat on a "false floor"? Or should they be elsewhere? Amplifiers arent really picky about where they are mounted...i mean like most electronic equipment espescially if they will be driven hard alot and heat up...you like to keep em out of dusty areas...and if ya can in nice ventilated areas....so on a flase floor would be fine....if your ap has heat dissepation holes just leave them clear with some room or if its the big heat sink type just leave some room from the heatsink to anything else (wall, another amp etc)... Your sub box...for show theres nothing stopping u mate going too ways with the sub box....and can still have the window in both if u really want. - Subs inside the box firing into the cabin with window on the boot side so u can see inside the box and the rear of the woofers. or - Subs mounted inverted off the back of the box still firing into the cabin with the window on the front(cabin) side that way u can show it off when u have the rear seats folded down....but yeh if u no longer want a window then yeh dont matter

also forgot to say...if mounting them in the box...facing the cabin behind the seats....leave a small gap between the sub face n the seats otherwise they wont perfom as well

Dusty areas? I live on a dirt road.....EVERYTHINGS DUSTY lol, but hopefully if I run a couple of computer fans and ducting, that should ease that off quite a bit.
