WITH ALL THE TALK ABOUT SNORKEL SIZES ETC HAS ANYONE CHANGED THE TUBE FROM THE AIR CLEANER BOX OUTLET TO THE RUBBER BEND BEFORE THE THROTTLE BUTTERFLY AS THIS IS RESTRICTED BY BEING MUCH SMALLER IN DIAMETER AT THE A/C END

THE BA TUBE/HOSE HAS NO SUCH DIAMETER CHANGE BUT THE HOSE IS SHORTER
THE OUTLET FROM THE AIR BOX NEEDS TO BE LARGER ON THE EL,DO THE V8 ONES FIT????ARE THEY LARGER???
OR SHOULD YOU GHANGE THE WHOLE IDUCTION SIDE E:G; A/C, SNORKEL,AI R BOX AND PIPES TO A BA SETUP AS THE DIAMETER IS LARGER & HAS NO RESTRICTONS ANYWERE THAT I CAN SEE AND WILL IT FIT?????

if the ba piping has no difference in diameter, either get an ef or a 3 inch mandrel bent cold air intake. the el and au are really restrictive and if the ba has the same diameter its not really gonna change much. the ef intake is good for up to 145kw

its all been covered

dear noob (music189), up the top right hand corner, between centre of page and right of page there is a link names "search"... click it and type in "intake, snorkel, air..." anything and u will find a link to this topic, it has been argued and commented over for ages and the truth is that the intake aint gonna do much even with the best engines let alone a stock one

Snorkels have been a huge topic on FM even before the forum started.
I laugh everytime i see a Tickford snorkel question on here, i just don't bother answering them.
I fitted one to my EF over 4 years ago and didn't notice any gain, and i lost count of how many i sold and fitted on FM members cars over the years.
I let the experts (Who only discovered the T snorkel 12 months ago) answer the questions.
It's seriously far worse than a broken record.
Back then i was getting those snorkels for under $16 new, i only wish i had of purchased up big and sold them to all the suckers now lol.

I have an EF. Got the EL Intake pipe into EF airbox. The EL pipe from the rubber to the airbox is alot smaller that the EF one so I replaced it with a 3" stainless steel pipe.
