have you got a question xr9 ute? ill put it on there and people can vote? anything you are curious about? LOL, he knows more about V8's than this forum put together. I do see his point too, they're 2 completely different engines from 2 different era's, a bit like comparing apples and oranges. |

but what about red apples vs green.. navel vs the other kind??
dpeends if they for juice or not.. as far as the v8s go, ford aus should open up an engine plant and make the alloy 5.0 cammer for falcons. thats an actual 100nm per litre(very few motors can acheive this) and it still makes 420hp(307ish kw) all the while its 1 litre down on the ls2.. also, coz its a bored out 4.6 in theory you could stroke it later on or do all sorts of stuff. its got potential.

I like the taste of oranges, but apples are easier to eat - voted apples.

have you got a question xr9 ute? ill put it on there and people can vote? anything you are curious about? Yes I have a question.....Why have pointless polls? A discussion about the differences between the two is far more interesting. So how about we do that?....then after that you can have a poll if you want to? Lets kick off with some basic differences; Cleveland....relatively heavy, narrow, and long. Modular.....relatively light, wide, and short. Cleveland.....relatively heavy rotating mass, but very strong. Modular.....relatively light rotating mass, some strong, some not. Cleveland.....large bore, less efficient combustion, large displacement capability. Modular.....small bore, very efficient combustion, small displacement capability. Cleveland....relatively poor cylinder head design Modular.....relatively good cylinder head design(at least now anyway...early ones not so good) Cheers, Pete. |
