Just wondering if there are any bigger brakes that will bolt straight onto my EF mont? I don't want to modify anything by cutting with grinders or s**t like that.

I am rebuilding the Mont completely, but more on that later. This is the only thing I can't think of what I want.

They will be going behind 17's as per sig.

I dont think that there is anything that you could fit, without having to modify the spindles. I have been looking into this for some time now. Would be good if there was anything that we could do without replacing/modifying the spindles

even the ELGT brakes won't be THAT great, they're only twin piston. I have twin piston brakes on the Soarer (which weighs the same as an E series falcon with say an extra 80kw) and it could still do with some more.
Luckily for me, there are bolt on Supra 4 pistons. IS there anyone Supra brakes or something could be modified to fit?

He had the full ELGT brake setup, so he must've had the ELGT spindles

At one stage, Crescent were looking at a 4 pot setup. That was by modifying skyline calipers to fit the fords, IIRC.
He hasnt finished them yet, and apparently has moved onto other things at the moment. We'll wait for Brett to come on, and confirm that for us.

theres a fair few members here with upgraded brakes, dc-straight has el-gt setup.

from mem there is a stickie on cms? 4 pot at the top of this forum.

best EASY upgrade is, dba's, good pad, and a set of braided lines.

get a setup like this, plus braided brake lines and you should notice a big improvment. this is fine for road and some track use. unless you're really giving you brakes a pounding i cant see it worth the extra expense on going el gt twin piston setups etc.

ive got slotted rotors and ebc greenstuff pads all round, and it takes repeated hard stops to get them to fade, and even then they come back very quickly.

Sorry guys, by brakes, I meant calipers......the EF ones are tiny. Want something bigger that will stop well, and also looks decent.

If I have to change complete brake lines, master cylinder, etc, im quite happy too. Im rebuilding absolutely everything, why u ask? Same reason a dog licks his balls, coz he can. So yeah, mainly calipers is my issue and i would prefer bolt on, but if I cant, then stiff s**t for me, ill have to mod some s**t for em.

yeah the calipers do look small, but the piston is about the size of the whole caliper - and is actually quite big...

I think your only options are to go the EL gt brakes, or the cms ones which is a sticky in this forum.

But if you do what these guys have mentioned already, (pads, rotors, brake lines) you will notice a much improved brake performance.

It all depends on how much you want to spend. I think AP racing do a full kit and some others will make kits but you will be looking at 3 to 5k.
