Hey guys,
Im currently trying to put an AU motor into my EB. I'm having an issue with the engine mounts. The AU mounts dont seem to line up to my EB engine bay. Am I supposed to be using the engine mounts off my EB? I never read anywhere that i would need to change the mounts on my new engine. Could someone plz let me know if I need to use the old engine mounts (if they bolt up to the new au engine).

Cya

I think it don't line up because the front of the AU seems to hit the K-Frame cross member or something? you need to cut and weld the sump so it clears the bar. Other then that I was told they line up....I mean the BA motor lines up perfectly...just never cleared the K-Frame.

yeh i have already grinded the front back on the sump so thats not a problem. its just the actual engine mounts won't line up with the engine bay.

i never read that I would have to use my eb mounts in that guide stockstandard wrote or any where else on here.

could someone who has put an au motor into eb please confirm? coz I have the gearbox all bolted up and really don't want to unbolt everything and remove the engine again.

Yes...the BA motor will fit since the engine mounts are the same...THOUGH there is more to it..

This is the thread about BA motors in E-Series cars...a lot of issues and problems have arisen and some solutions found...though it still is a researching project for all :D...
