Does anyone know if the EL cruise control cable has the same end as the ED(actuator end nearest to the firewall). I have done the bbm conversion now I need my cruise to work(missus has the s**t).

Yes it is.
Get your ED cruise cable and cut it off just a bit past the length of the throttlebody on the BBM.
Then make a loop at the end of it, and either cable tie it or solder it or something.
Then put the loop into the throttle body where the cruise cable normally goes and it should work fine.

When i fitted cruise to my EF it came with an XH cable, i ended up buying the EF cable as XH is the same manifold as the ED.
I think the ED module is different to the EF though so you'll have to mod it as above.

The cable on the throttle body end on the EF/EL is different to the EB/ED type.
You will need a EF/EL cable and modify the actuator end....
1. take an EB/ED cable, cut off the stop ball and carefully remove the plastic molding off the end.
2. Cut off the stop ball molded into the actuator end of the EF/EL cable as well as the plastic retainer mold.
3. Superglue the plastic molding off the EB/D cable onto the same position on the EF/L cable.
4. Fit a screw down stopper onto the end of the mod'ed cable. The screw down stopper (that's what I can them anyway) is a little cylindrical piece of metal with a hole for the cable to go thru and a screw to tighten it on the cable... available from bike shops.
That's how I did one a while ago.
BTW... I used an EF/EL rocker cover as well to secure the throttle and cruise cables at the manifold end.... much neater.
BTW some more..... I also investigated fitting the EF/EL cruise controller.... simple to do except that it needs 5 buttons to operate and the EB/D only has 4 buttons available.... so did not do that one.
