Hey guys,

Long time no post!

Neways, as some of u know my car is on 460,000 (ex limo) now i havnt dynoed it just yet, im just after some cheap power, eg something like a turbo upgrade on a turbo car? Should i get a dyno reading before doing anything? The engine is in a pretty good condiction, lsd has gone bonkers but other then that it keeps up with s1 au xr8s which i guess is a promissing sign for a car with high ks

What should i be after, cams, heads ect ect

Another thing, im currently distributing these parts www.digi-hardware.com for my mate Tao, so if a turbo kit minus turbo and cooler is available with my lpg setup how much would i been looking at for custom piping remapped ecu?

How cheap is 'cheap'?
None of the things you've mentioned are my definition of my cheap, nor do I think any great performance benefit can be gained (ESPECIALLY on the 5.0 wheezer) without spending cash.

I'd keep it simple to start with, forget about turbocharging it.
What have you done to it so far?
Exhaust and extractors should be near the top of the list.
Not only cause they make it sound cool, but also cause they are a restriction from stock.
Underdrive pullies is another thing to look out.
Diff ratios, something a bit shorter to mask the s**t first gear ratio in the BTR...
How far do you want to go?
Give us a goal.
Also, not many NA motors are as easy to get power out of as a turbo car.

"cheap, fast, reliable... you can only pick two"

Put is this way, i was thinking of letting her go within 5 months for an s14a, but then theres an issue with the law which id much like to avoid.

Engine wise, atm nothing spec, knn filter au3 snorkle n lpg.

If i decide to stay with fairlanes ill be getting a 02 ltd, so it would be good if u can change parts from one to the other one..

a good porting job on the heads and intake.. yes even the HO intake and e7 heads will net some decent gains.

It's an AU, it has 40P's and Explorer.
Exhaust and cam will wake it up a bit, but it all comes down to how much you want to spend.

I wouldn't touch a thing in that time other than maintenance. Any money spent on it will be money lost when it comes time to sell/change. Nothing "cheap" will add to the re-sale value of the car.

If you are asking what mods you can do to it, and cheaply, no offence, but I am making the assumption you aren't going to do it yourself, in which case it will be wasted labour as well.

cheap? try free!

pull the alternator, water pump, power steering pump, and air con pump off.

also, remove doors and all seats bar the drivers seat, obviously. or possibly, replace with a plastic/cane chair.

remove boot lid and bonnet. these are just cosmetic additions from the factory and just add weight anyway..

you should see a marked improvment at the drag strip. tho with the water pump 'mod' it would be advised to take shorter trips. ie 100 metres at a time.

go a cam then.. its just the installation is a bit of a pig.. but yeh your engine can flow more than what the stock cam asks for.

if your goin to spend up to 1500 bucks why dont you buy a flash tuner and get a edit and then that way when you get rid of it you can keep the tuner for your next car or sell it if your getting somthing different. a good edit should almost get you as much power as a cam and its resetable for when you sell the car so nobody has to know that your a hoon 8-)
