A mate has a BA 4.0 and just bought some Wildcat extractors for it. He paid $280 and wants to do it all on the cheap, he's talking about removing the standard rear muffler. What will happen if he does that on the stock exhaust with the extractors fitted, crap sound ect?

it'll sound alright as long as he extent the outlet all the way to the rear. it'll actually sound crispier & rich.

more torquer then standard.

unbolt it where it joins the mid section muffler. should give you an indication of what it'll sound like.

bahaha...yeah what mitch said. If caught you will get done hard...EPA will be up his a**. If he wants more flow without restrictions...tell him to get at least a high flow cat, rather then straight through pipe

hahaha.........is you talking about straight pipe from extractor to the rear?
if he is, it'll sound like s**t. as Mitchg911 said.............

why not just save up for a free flowing cat back system, theres no rush.

found out he paid $240 for the wildcat extractors, seems suss to me, some doddgy exhaust shop said they put straight pipe through the converter, so thats his plan along with removing the rear muffler, stopmers idea of the XR6t system isn't bad I will pass it along but HE IS CHEAP!
