just wondering if and how it is possible of chroming engine parts at home?

it would be possible, but it would be extremly hard.
chroming is done by a series of electroplating. you'd need to set up an electrobath, and some sort of circut, most likely requirering 3 phase power. you'd also need to get your hands on some aqueous chromium solution. it would cost more to set up than it would be worth. |

you could use chrome spray paint but it not as good as crome it's self......

polishing parts is the only realistic way to get the chrome effect from home.
