hey i just bought an ef xr6 5 speed conversion for $630, only done 150,000klm's, about to buy ef manual computer,

Now............

do i just switch computers?

is the tailshaft the same from auto to manual?

yup just switch computers, tailshaft should be the same, this is my experience with my ED though

sounds interesting i hope u dont run into any problems. keep in mind tho converted tranny's in cars depreciate the value more, as it is non genuine.

i bought an ef2 futura that came manual. bloody rare though

good luck with it.

And you can tell they are not originally manual how? Not everyone has access to the codes on the compliance plates.

Yes the tailshaft is the same and the computers just swap over.

thanks guys, pick up the parts this friday and only have a few days to have it up and running before the qld dyno day at bob romano's on 9th december :twisted:

180rwhp with dead auto and hitting speed limiter with 3.23 diff gears,

now with 5 speed and 3.45 diff gears should be interesting :twisted:

$630 is pretty cheap , where did u get it from?

no its not a bath plug, i have recently replaced the filter with a better designed one, just haven't had time to change the pic yet.

I got the conversion from a friend of a friend and it is all legal not HOT
