well you could do it, but the gain will be unnoticable. the xr's real gain came from the 3.45 gears.
$122 (with exchange) from wade and they can make up a good cam that will gain power but keep things like standard valve springs (if you dont want to spend lots). |

Forgive my idiocy, but 3.45 diff gears, timing gears or trans ratio? :S

i was saying that the XR's go better than the base models not due to cam changes, but due to the diff gears.

I agree with that school of thought.
the XR cam made a little more power but that is coupled with the higher fuel pres regs and the slightly larger ports in the head as well.. cam only will be minimal. Dave
