My booster now has a crack in it. Is there a steel booster or which others fit. Sorry it is an EF Futura.

Sounds like an early EF? These crack due to poor design. Either buy a new one from Ford or source a s/h one off a later EF or an EL. The later ones have ribbing on the back and don't suffer from the same problem.

I had one of mine crack, lasted 2 months with duct tape over it till i got another!

I think mine cracked due to 2 things, heat from the headers and a brake fluid leak.

Its easier to just get a replacement EF/EL booster.

The AU booster is a steel unit, but IIRC it has a 4 bolt mounting setup rather than the 2 bolt setup on EF/EL boosters.

Nothing an angle grinder cant fix though!

Thanks getting a local company to do it. Replace the booster with a new one and flush the brakes $300
