Hey guys,
I've just put an AUIII motor into my EB. I'm running the dizzy off my eb instead of coilpacks. All is well except that the engine is missing under load pretty badly. I am using new leads and have checked the gap on the plugs. So I thought maybe my timing was out. So I used my timing light and its hard to set the timing without the IGN mark on the pulley. There is only the one for TDC. I tried to set the timing to what I think is 10deg BTDC but the engine is still missing. If anyone could help it would be great

10 degrees is 1.5cm left of the TDC mark.

Ok I have now replaced all spark plugs, tried yet another set of leads and dizzy cap. Adjusted the timing 100 times, swapped ecu's, run diagnostics etc. The engine is still missing!! It misses all the way through the rev range but especially in low revs. I have connected the knock sensor too and that didnt help. It also has trouble maintaining idle.
Could someone please help me out here. I don't know what to try next and its driving me crazy!

my ea used to miss like a barmaid, and it was because the bushes in the dizzy were flogged out. wouldn't hurt to check. a new mpi dizzy is cheap these days.

What fuel pump / ECU combination you running? Got an ED ECU in my CFI EB and I reckon it's causing half my problems along those lines...
