Just wondering if u can wire up the lanes driving lights, so they both come on when the headlights/parkers come on. not a big fan of them coming on indivdually,s o thought i may be able to change them, i am sure there would be a way.
If someone could tell me if this is possible and also how to do this, it would be great. Cheers Ben

Its possible, you need to get to the relays for them situated to the back of the qtr panel behind each light left/right side.
Ive done this few times now (thanks for DCstraight (steve) teaching me the 1st time) Ill grab the info n post it up again.

Turning lights are to see round the corner when turning NOT for driving as they shine out to the sides and if the right one is on going straight ahead it shines in the eyes of oncoming traffic causing accidents and VERY IRATE DRIVERS. I had a runin with a fairlane driver who did this AND had stronger globes in the lights but he hasn't got them anymore. (case of smashed RH light )

No way id call the *stock* cornering lamps on a fairlane "annoying" or "bright" to other road users.
From the drivers seat, you get the sidewalks lit up, thats it (when i get into cars without it now i feel like ive got a torch strapped to the front of the car pointing in one forward beam, hard to see hidden things) If you put a stronger globe in these, it will just ruin the light and melt. It still isnt bright enough to get in ppls eyes unless your driving a gokart on a 80degree angle into the side of the car! I drive cars with spotlights often now, often get flashed - Ive NEVER been flashed in my fairlane for light blinding lights.. nor have cops even noticed them. 100% recommended modification!

the wiring that u gave me for the lights, hooks up straight to the parkers/headlights yes. As in when parkers are turned on the driving lights will turn on auto.
i reckon it would be heaps better driving with the two on constantly, they give u more vision on the sides and also down low i would think. and they arent the brightest light, so i cant see how they can be annoying or too bright for oncoming motorists. As soon i get a few things out of the way with this week, i shall be doing it. Thanks Daniel

Yes, wired this way they will be on when you switch your parkers on and will stay on with normal and high beam lights.
So when ever you light switch is on, they are on aith your main lights.

yeah, ive fitted the fairlane driving lights to my fairmont.. would highly dought they'd blind any one.. unless they had theyre face glued to the lense with the cornering lamps on and stil... -i dont think that'd blind them.. Mine are wired up with a toggle switch..

its funny even though i know what they are for in the fairlanes etc, every time i see a fairlane turning and the one lamp on, i immediately think that one of their fog lamp globes are blown, looks tacky!
