talking to my uncle a few days back, he reckons that a larger spark plug gap will produce a brighter spark, other then increasing the load on the coil, are there any other dangerous/negative downsides to this??
only talking an extra 2-3 mm here i don't plan on opening them right up

2-3mm is s**t!
not to mention opening the gap makes the spark slower also. : may give you slight detonation. : try colder plugs for more performance! ie: xr ones

Unless you're burning oil there is no reason to be trying this old school stuff..

Jebus - 2-3mm is MASSIVE!
Ive said it before and ill say it again, there is nothing to be gained by f**k around with spark plugs until you have done substantial modifications to the engine.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I was wondering if I should get xr plugs or change the gap when I get my xr6 computer?
