Gday,
Ive been looking at the gas conversion rebate and its got me interested. Roughly how much is the average V8 carby gas conversion these days? My car has previously been on gas, I still have the impco mixer, the tank, lines are still installed. I havent got any of the electrics connected anymore and there are no connections to the motor. Hopefully that should take a little off the price. Does anyone know a good place in Hobart to get a conversion? Thanks.

Prices are around $2500.
It will be cheaper as you have the bits, i'd say your tank will be out of date so just get it tested. You may end up with change from the $2000. |

Thats what I want to hear! The tank looks as good as new and still has 3/4 left in it from 4 years ago so I guess it should be ok.

How good it looks has nothing to do with it mate, it has a date stamped on a little tag, once they hit 10 years old they have to be tested.
My mate threw a brand new tank in his F100 6 years ago, the thing hasn't even been driven yet and 4 more years and she's gotta go in to be done if he doesn't get a RWC and throw it on the road. |

Using parts I supplied, my conversion to my XB Clevo cost me about a grand.
