Well the cruise control loom is wired up exactly the same way as the donor car (Eb Ghia). All the wires go to the approproate spots in the dash loom in the new dash.
All the hardware is in, ie the vacumn module and the motor and the motor is connected to the three pin plug. Put my cruise wheel on and nothing happens. No click, no lights etc. Will my steering column be cruise compatible? Are there any connections that I might be missing? Also the vacumn pipe on the brake pedal is not yet hooked up. Will that make the system completely inoperable

The light should still come on on the dash without the brake vacuum hose hooked up, but you will definately not be able to 'cruise'.

Worked out the problem.
I think I need a new indicator assembly/boss for my column. I think the contact points are seized and not touching the wheel. When shorting the points out it is possible to get the cruise light to come on and turn off. Also the horn shounds this way, where it has never done before! Generally, if the cruise light comes on, does that mean that the vacumn motor is connected properly and the system will work if all hoses hooked up? Can't test it at the moment as I broke my heater tap yesterday when getting my heater/air box out of the car. Apparently a fairly common thing! $50 for a new one tho........pretty exy for what it is!
