Well boys and girls, had the latest upgrades done, new cam, springs, lsd, 3:55 gears, a few other bits and pieces.
Took the car to be tuned.
Half an hour in the engine starts knocking.
Take the car back to the mechanic.
Piston bearing *RIP*
Not sure what else is busted as yet.
Need to tear down the bottom end to find out.

Good news is it gives me an excuse to do more work to the car.
Currently waiting on rebuild prices from a machinist that builds Speedway cars.

The Mrs is gonna be p****d

time for good pistons, shaved and ported head, machine the crank, new rods and then slap a turbo on the exhaust side

Everything except the turbo - that'd stretch the budget beyond breaking point.

yeah that and you wouldnt have to worry bout the Mrs being p****d anymore, she'd be gone!
