I am wanting to change to an aftermarket fuel regulator (for obvious reasons of leaning off the mixture at WOT).

I've seen one called a Malpassi, that I can get for $160 (Is that a fair price :?: ) from an injection place. Are these ones much chop, or is there problems with these, or a better type available :?:

funny you ask... i am about to do exactly the same thing with my ef xr6, leaning off the pressure. i bought a pressure regulator off ebay, looks pretty good and came with a gauge.
I have only mounted it up so far, havent connected fuel up yet.

ive seen them for $120 for the malpasi.
Another way is to modify your org reg, some places out a guage on it to measure the pressure and they crush/expand the reg to suit.

The only problem with the MAlpassi regs is that they are not bolt on replacements on the V8's. You can still use them, you just fit it in the return line after the stock reg. You can also get the regs which bolt in place of the stock reg, but they aren't that common in aust, you generally have to order from the US.

Mine is a Kirban reg which is suppose to be one of the best available, other brands including Holley, Accel, Aeromotive and BBK all make bolt on units for the 5L
