hey guys

i bought my ef manual about 2 weeks ago and the first two days it was avging about 12-13/100km i then filled it up a few days later and reset the trip computer and it says im avging 22l/100kms whats wrong guys?

my car is also having missing problems when idling... any idea?

i really wanna get this prob fixed ive done like 200kms and my tank it below the quarter line

i really do hope i can improve the fuel effeciency..

well if it's missing, it sounds like it's running rich. is the miss heavier when the car is warmed up?
what have you replaced so far? leads/plugs?

O2 or map sensor s**t itself? or vacuum leak?

after resetting the trip, allow it 2 weeks to truly average out your fuel consumption.

well i will bet my left nut that your idle problem is being caused by a dead cam angle sensor and vacume leaks.

exact same problems i had with my car, vacume leaks and o2 sensor on the way out fixed my fuel consumption.

are vacume leaks a big/costly problem?

im not sure, as i never paid for any of the labour, but it took a couple of days to find all the leaks, wait for new parts, dyno test, and replace faulty parts after diagnostics had been run.

so it depends, some may be as simple as Map sensor hoses, but some are right up under the manifold.

to be honest, id recomend taking it to a reliable mechanic who can hook it up to diagnostics so they can pinpoint the problem instead of you just taking our advice and replacing parts which may be the problem but may well not be causing the problems.

it is often hard to find it all your self as fuel consumption can be a whole host of things, which rely on each other to make it all work. (ie: vacume)
