I was not sure of the ratio of my diffs, so I checked them out today and found out the following:

NA Fairlane has a 3.23 LSD
ED futura has a 3.27 SS

I was curious as to why it said HIGH PERFORMANCE on the large tag of my ED futura?!

Is is worth while swapping my 3.27SS for a 3.23LSD, would there be much difference? (accaleration/speed/will my speedo be out by much)

I understand that I could do a straight swap from the Fairlane to the Futura, If i wanted to keep the abs on my Futura what must I do?

Any help will be greatly appreciated

there will be very little difference in speed/acceleration and your speedo will be out by only a tiny bit (if you want to correct this you can either get a jaycar digital speedo corrector or get the speedo sender from a car with the diff ratio you are putting in.)

also, i'm fairly sure an NA fairlane will be 25 spline (weaker) whereas your ED diff will be 28 spline. The means you can't keep your ABS because the axels have the trigger wheels on them and they won't fit into the LSD centre. So, what you need to do is get a 28 spline LSD centre from somewhere and whack that into your current housing with your current axels and then you won't have to worry about changing diff ratios.

just two other quick points:
1. the LSD in the NA is probably rooted (all LSDs die...minispools dont :D )
2. the 25 spline diffs run skinnier bushes (on the lower arms) so your lower trailing arms from a car with a 28 spline diff won't fit. you'll need to get the rear bushes pushed out and EA ones pushed in)

means that you wont see any difference, most of the V8's came out with supposedly high performance diffs, but like you said, they are just 4 spider variants that handle a little more torque, but not worth the effort of changing.

28 spline 4 pin = stronger
25 spline 2 pin = weaker

LSD's will have 'Slip resistant' on the tag.
As slabz has said, using the NA one is a bit harder then just slot in.
Lower trailing arms wont fit, will need EA-EBI bushes pressed in, cant use your ABS axles so ABS will have a fit, and also the tailshaft coupling to the diff is different on EA-EBI diffs.
Lotta work to put in a diff thats weaker, and probably has a f**k LS centre anyway lol

Last night I decided to check out the diffs on my mum's and brothers Fairlanes, I found this

Mum- '89 NA fairlane (2.77 LSD)
Brother - '92 NC series 2 Fairlane Ghia (3.27 LSD) with abs

So I have decided to nag my brother to swap diffs or wait until his car dies, that way I can have his diff, keep my same ratio (3.27), keep my abs and all should fit nicely.

The thing with LSDs is that most of them are stuffed. A working LSD would make a great diff, unfortunately they are either rare or cost a fair bit to reco.

Single spinners start life doing one wheel then as they die they start to do two (welding itself) whereas LSDs start life doing two wheels but (through either under- or over-use) end up doing one wheel. :D

lol thats so true. it's weird how the single spinners do that when they're almost ready to die.
