I got a pioneer 12" sub off my mate today. Cost me nothing but i got plans for it after hearing it crank from his mums car.

He has made a box for it. Its 1.6c/f and ported.

What i want to do is mount this guy under the parcel shelf and possibly have a fake floor and tidy up the boot a little.

I have got some existing cable from my previous sub which exploded being a sony explod and all. I will use these Terminals
I know you can get the same thing with a LED display for the voltage.

First stage of the setup is im going to get some decent battery terminals from jaycar.

Ill then replace the s**t remote wire and RCA leads with this - Cables

Ill redo all my power leads with these Crimps


I also have to sort out the amp. Im talking to my mate about what we can do in the way of an amp for the sub as i dont trust the usaudio one i have here.

Does anyone have anything i should watch out for or do when i start my install?

One warning if you haven't learnt yet...remove the negative terminal before attempting any electronic modifications before you blow a fuse or stuff something up.

if you want good RCA leads...get the Stinger ones...they are better then those I think. Crimps are fine and no need for the Battery voltage display...terminal unless you can see it without popping the hood.

Amp wise...i suggest you buy some good amps...or else you may lose more money by blowing up the crappy ones.

Im holding out before i install the sub. I need that amp cause its suited to the sub.

well i got my amp today. I took all the old wiring out and looked it over. The fuse box i had is kind of s**t and broken due to the heat from the motor.

I found some gold connectors made for sub installs. I worked out how to crimp them.
