mines been leaking for ages, bout 30,000km. bugger it I'll keep driving it till it dies haha. well it still pulled 117kw at the wheels last saturday and has 340,000km on the clock so its doing well
 (duel fuel too)

You could try tightening the headbolts a little and hope for the best.
They can usually last for ages like that, as long as it isnt leaking in the engine it wont cause any problems.

yeah, its going well still. should have left the auto in it tho I think
even tho the manual goes like scaulded cat

any of the engine seal additives are not worth the time/effort. yes they will stop it leaking for a short time, but they can react with the different metals in the cooling system and cause long term electrolosys. Don't just assume its a head either. could be heater hoses slightly leaking etc. take it somewhere and get it TK tested. The TK test checks for combustion gasses in the cooling system...

How many heater hoses run in the 1mm gap between the head and block under cylinder number 3 on the exhaust side? When its leaking water out there and i'm going to take the head off next year, why bother with wasting money on proving something you dont care about? |

if you want to drive the car but dont have time or money to fix the problem staright away, undo the radiator cap halfway so it is locked on but it wont build up excessive pressure that can force water into the motor!
