i'm sure there's probably a topic on here somewhere relating to this but there's too many posts to go through and it's probably an easy question for majority to answer. I've had the same bombadore since i got my license that got handed to me by my brother and i've finally got money together to buy a real car, long story short, i want to buy a stock ef/el fairmont so i can mod it from scratch i have no idea about the prices involved with lowering. can someone just give a quick speel about lowering a car, in terms of the brands, heights, costs (for springs and fitting) and while your there, some input concerning buying an ef or an el would be sweet too. cheers

i baught pair of King Springs from coventrys for $101 (dealer price) and general purchase was $148 a pair.

so for each corner lowered your looking at $202 dealer price or $296 general.

I haven't changed my shocks, I don't know if you have to or not, but i haven't

good luck!

If you're handy with a wrench and you know what you're doing, then you can save yourself a spank load in labour cost... You should be able to get away with springs (pending on brand) for the $400 - $600 mark and shocks about the same...
I went the lazy option and got a place to do it for me with lovell lowered race springs and pedders sports rider shocks all round - all up cost was $1400 and she now sits about 3" lower.

Same in mine, absolutely perfect height. I replaced std shocks with monroe gt's and in my mind you definitely have to, way too boaty otherwise even if it is slammed. All up cost bout $1100.

I paid about $650 for my setup. That was for king superlows, monroe GT's, and a c&c kit.
