Hey guys.

I got a set of Pioneer 5.25" 2-way speakers for nothing and im thinking i could put them up on the dash where there are speaker provisions.

Will 5.25" fit there?

I dont have time tonight to have a look.

Did the XR's have them there??

Has anyone done this?

What model Falcon?
If your talking about the place just infront of the windscreen on E-series, that houses small tweeters, 5.25" would be too big,.

make ring out of mdf that you can fit the 5.25in in ur stock 6in location....and then see if your tweeters came with someting that fits on the little grey bit on the inside of where the side mirrors are

mine came with 4 different mounts and i used one there, just ran wires up through the door, also has better effect on sound being closer to midrange and aimed at the person 8-)

Not talking about the doors.

I have a similar question. I have an EF falcon station wagon and wish to replace the speakers on the dashboard (they seem to be torn). I was thinking of getting sony 4way 4inch speakers, but I don't know if they will fit. I know that the door requires 6inch speakers, but I need to know about the dash.

If anyone could help I'd be grateful.

Thanks for the advice. I guess that I will just have to stick with the initial plan of replacing the door speakers with better 6inches. Incidentally, does anyone have a 'how to' guide for removing the panel covering the speakers (I have an EF falcon) I think that I should be right with the rewiring, but I want the car to look as though the speakers havn't been touched. I could go to a guy I know, but I'd rather save the sixty bucks if it is simple enough to do.

Once again, thanks for the quick reply.
