hey guys,
I was working with my dad installing new front and rear speakers in the DF LTD and also a 'fully sick' ccfl to replace the boot light which is blocked by the gas tank.

Now I cut the boot light wires the green/yellow one and the white/grey ones. I loosely connected the new ccfl and it worked, disconnected it and got tools to install properly. Now upon getting in the boot again, somehow i squashed the ccfl and renedered it useless. So due to me being lazy i just taped up the loose wires as there was no point connecting it to the blocked boot light.

Heres the problem(s):
-There is a clicking noise that can be heard from the inside
-The door lights flicker to the above mentioned clicks
-When car is started dash flickers to above mentioned clicks
-(Nearly) No dash illumination
-When car is started the smartlock light on dash stays on
-Radio isnt working

Ok, I've described it as best as i can. Anybody know what's wrong?

OK Update!
The bootlight is reconnected as it was before i cut anything but it didnt fix anything. Would it have to do with installing new front speakers?

This may seem pretty obvious - but have you checked the battery terminals? They screwed back on tight? When I was installing my trip computer, I disconnected the battery of course but when I was testing it (so I connected the battery back up) I didn't screw it back on properly so it was like arcing and the same thing happened to me as you have described.
I know it's a bit of a long shot but it could be.

Ok checked the battery terminals. One was a little loose, tightened it. Helped a bit. Dash was working for a while when car was on etc but no radio. I also just found out that the car doesnt have any problems while on if the map light is switched on.
HELP!!
