Don't piss away money on a spare XR6 turbo engine for the conversion. Just build the existing engine with a/m piston rod combo and sort your electrics out. The turbo side is the easy part of this job as a GT3540r is roughly $1700 new. Use stock manifold and heat shielding.

IMO there is not enough difference between the n/a and turbo engines to justify the price difference...possibly with the exception of the iconel exhaust valves in the turbo heads.

Agree that the turbo should just be put on to the standard car. There are kits for about $5k with 700hp water cooled roller bearing turbo's.

I heard on the other forum someone flashed the NA ECu with the turbo software and it just wouldn't work, must be some difference in circuitry. Not sure if the BF's are any different though,

On another note, I also read in a magazine that BF xr6t have identical pistons to those used in the typhoon.
