use cable ties one in each section of the sprocket |

If you don't understand what the manual says (torque settings should be in there)this would be the way to go - I'd rather outlay a few beers, rather than balls it up because you didn't follow the steps correctly. Head changes, cams, chain tensioner sequence are all good examples of this - it could be disasterous if you miss or get something wrong.

I'd help out but no one in melbourne seems to want to change things in the engine. Heres a big tip, go to www.eseries.com.au
In the technical doco section, have a look at the head gasket replacement doco, its designed for an EA however has a lot of similarities to your car.
